These are Purple Care's ABC's of supporting a child whose primary caregiver maybe having difficulty managing their mental health or substance use and/or are facing other adverse childhood experiences. Children are resilient, but it's important to still be supportive to foster that strength to overcome challenges. The following ABC's are helpful reminders of ways to show up or support a child whose life circumstances are out of your control. They may sound repetitive and are driving home a few key points. The ABC's are designed to be fun playful reminders! Please feel free to reach out to us for consultation, services, or resources to support.
