ZadiJoy Goes to Therapy

ZadiJoy goes to therapy is created to support trusted adults and therapists to have therapeutic and creative discussions with children who may be facing adverse childhood experiences or have a caregiver who is having difficulty managing their own mental health or substance use and maybe unable to tend to the child's emotional needs. ZadiJoy Goes to Therapy is told from ZadiJoy's perspective and offers many opportunities for the child to add creative and maybe personal details. This book comes equipped with discussion and activities for caregivers and supporters to help engage the child and maybe even create their own story.

These are Purple Care's ABC's of supporting a child whose primary caregiver maybe having difficulty managing their mental health or substance use and/or are facing other adverse childhood experiences. Children are resilient, but it's important to still be supportive to foster that strength to overcome challenges. The following ABC's are helpful reminders of ways to show up or support a child whose life circumstances are out of your control. They may sound repetitive and are driving home a few key points. The ABC's are designed to be fun playful reminders! Please feel free to reach out to us for consultation, services, or resources to support.
